Paramount raises growth funding in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group

GS Verde Group is delighted to have advised Paramount on a fund-raising deal which will fuel its next growth phase. The funding will enable its expansion into a new 'Build' arm of the business set to propel them to an expected turnover of £50m for 2023/2024.

The funding will provide the opportunity for Paramount to further expand its service offering into the construction industry, supported by a restructuring of its board of directors. Dimitri Tsakiris, Commercial Director, will focus on 'Build', the newly created post of Construction Director has been filled by Paul Thomas, and Paul Jones has moved into the position of Projects Director, all joining the senior leadership team alongside Richard Jones, Helen Bartlett and Kevin Mashford.

Richard Jones, Chief Executive at Paramount, says "Our move into construction signals the start of an exciting new era for Paramount, as we pursue ambitious aspirations for our dynamic company.

"After focusing on high-quality interiors comprising fit-out and refurbishment for more than 30 years, encouraged by our clients, Paramount is broadening horizons with a comprehensive construction service which represents a natural progression for our company."

Working closely with GS Verde Group for a number of years, Paramount has previously harnessed the benefits of several transactions to fuel its extraordinary growth; including an MBO in 2018, an acquisition in 2019, and the transition to Employee Ownership in 2021, which saw Paramount staff become majority shareholders, collectively owning 51% of the business.

Supporting Paramount through its exceptional growth over the last few years has been a privilege, and GS Verde has been pleased to leverage its enhanced insight into the marketplace and help Paramount develop an M&A strategy that elevates the business to new heights while navigating ongoing challenges posed by economic headwinds.

Richard Jones said: "The multidisciplinary team at GS Verde Group have brought a wealth of expertise to the table, guiding Paramount through several transactions and remaining focused on fostering growth and success for our business.

"I am grateful to Craig, Nigel and the rest of the team and highly recommend their services to anyone seeking strategic M&A advisory support."

Most recently, Paramount has worked on fit-out schemes at Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale's Par 59 bars, a refurbishment project at the Development Bank of Wales HQ, the transformation of the 360 office complex in Bristol, and a multi-million-pound redevelopment of Hodge House in Cardiff city centre.
