Nigel Greenaway's Kilimanjaro Challenge for St David's Hospice Care
posted 30th September 2024
At GS Verde Group, we believe in going the extra mile, not only for our clients but also for the causes that make a real difference to our community. This October, our CEO, Nigel Greenaway, will embark on a journey that truly exemplifies this spirit of going above and beyond - he will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for St David's Hospice Care.
Why Kilimanjaro?
Nigel's climb is not just about the physical challenge, but about supporting a cause close to our hearts. St David's Hospice Care provides invaluable care to patients and families across Gwent and South Powys, allowing individuals to receive vital end-of-life care where it suits them best - in the comfort of their homes or in specialist hospice facilities. Their work relies heavily on community fundraising, and it's efforts like this that help keep their services going.
The Challenge Ahead
Nigel will begin his journey on 3rd October, taking on the Lemosho Route, which approaches Kilimanjaro from the west. This route is a true test of endurance, spanning beautiful forests and challenging plateaus, with the goal of reaching the summit on 12th October.
While the climb will undoubtedly be tough, Nigel's motivation is clear: to raise essential funds for the hospice. Every donation helps St David's Hospice Care continue providing the care that is so critical to families facing life-limiting illnesses.
