The multi-award wining law firm that established itself in the Bristol corporate finance market in 2018, has seen significant growth that has resulted in them being shortlisted for the Legal category at the Bristol Life Awards.

Those shortlisted will attend an Uberglam-style awards ceremony held at Lloyds Amphitheatre on 23 April 2020. Featuring a gala dinner, guest speaker and nominees will also have the chance to network with over 150 business people in attendance.

Greenaway Scott was able to express how hard the Bristol team have worked, naming several high-profile advisory roles that have contributed to a 30% growth in revenue last year alone.

Their Bristol office has grown to a team of 10 to service the demand for the traction gained in Bristol and the South West markets. The core client base in Bristol is similar to their Cardiff HQ client base and includes dynamic growth businesses in new technology, life science, fintech and other similar sectors.

Greenaway Scott also act as the legal advisors on an ongoing basis to a number of high profile Bristol university spin out companies in the Biotech and Engineering industries, advising on the complex intellectual property issues which arise, assisting in the growth and development of the businesses through investment.

Lorna Bolton, Director and head of the Bristol office has said "Being shortlisted for the Bristol Life Awards this year is an excellent recognition of how far Greenaway Scott and the GS Verde Group have come in a short space of time since entering the Bristol market in late 2018."

She adds "We have grown from a small temporary office space in Temple Meads, to a team of 10 strong in a newly fitted out office in central Bristol, advising clients in the SME sector across a range of industries, and completing a number of deals in our first year gives excellent prospects of what's to come. Bristol is a very exciting place for us to be in the current climate."

Greenaway Scott was founded in 2013 becoming part of the GS-Verde Group and sister company to a corporate finance firm, Verde Corporate Finance. The GS-Verde Group is unique in Bristol as a multi-discipline practice to offer corporate finance and legal services under one roof. This has been achieved through obtaining an alternative business structure license (granted by the Law Society) and emulates only a handful of firms across the UK.
