Commercial Paralegal
GS Verde Law (an AAB Group Company) – Cardiff
GS Verde Law is seeking a highly organised and motivated Commercial Paralegal to join our expanding Commercial team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with prior experience in a commercial legal environment to develop their career within a fast growing, multi disciplinary advisory group.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support our commercial lawyers across a broad range of matters and industries. Work shall include assisting with the drafting and review of commercial contracts, supporting client projects, conducting research, managing documentation, and assisting with client management. The position provides exposure to high quality commercial work within a fast paced, collaborative and forward thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Supporting the commercial team fee earners on a variety of commercial matters, including supply and purchase agreements, service contracts, and terms of business, SaaS arrangement, terms of sale of goods, distribution agreements, franchise agreements and more.
• Conducting legal research and preparing internal reports.
• Managing document production, version control, and contract management processes.
• Liaising with clients, counterparties, and internal teams to progress matters efficiently.
• Conducting commercial due diligence on corporate transactions.
• Providing general administrative and legal support to fee earners within the Commercial team.
Essential Requirements
• Minimum 2:1 law degree (or equivalent)
• Prior experience in a commercial legal setting
• LPC/SQE completed or in progress
• Experience within a UK law firm is strongly desirable
• Strong drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• A genuine interest in commercial contracts and business advisory work
• Experience working directly with clients
Training Contract Opportunity
For the right candidate, there is the potential to progress to a training contract following a successful six month period in the paralegal role. This pathway is designed for individuals who demonstrate strong capability, commitment, and alignment with the firm’s values.

Location
This role may be based in either our Cardiff office, with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements. Start date 1st April 2026.
