Tech business Springo acquired by Stampede

Leading UK hospitality software start-up Stampede has acquired Springo, in a deal advised on by the GS Verde Group.

Stampede has acquired Springo, a data capture and customer engagement software business, in a bid to strengthen the business' expertise and increase global reach. The deal will see the software businesses unite their shared vision of helping hospitality venues to grow.

Stampede is one of the UK's leading hospitality software businesses and was founded by software developer and tech entrepreneur, Patrick Clover to enable physical venues to engage with their customers more easily and effectively and understand them better.

Both Stampede and Springo have helped hundreds of hospitality businesses bounce back after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the aim is that their combined forces will mean support will reach even more venues.

As part of the agreement, Jay Ball (CEO of Springo) will join Stampede as a non-executive director and shareholder.

Greenaway Scott, part of the GS Verde Group, advised Jay Ball on the transaction. Leanne Thomas, Director of the Corporate division of Greenaway Scott said: "We are delighted to have advised Jay on a deal that is exciting for both businesses, and we wish Stampede all the best for the future."
